Hello, I’m Lee Kwong Sin from Melaka and I am a financial advisor here at Prudential. I don’t have a university degree as I have only completed high school with a SPM certificate but I don’t think that limits my abilities at all. On the contrary, I think it motivates me to improve and to learn more as a result so no I don’t think that a college degree is necessary when it comes to this career path as it is more entrepreneurial and depends on your own hard work but if you do have it, it’s considered a bonus but definitely not a prerequisite need.
I joined the finance and insurance sector because at first I thought I just wanted to earn lots of money to obtain a better lifestyle but sooner I realized that my calling in life is to add value to other people’s lives and not just focusing on my own. That is also the part of me which changed a lot during these few years, after helping so many people I understand one simple truth which is that sometimes giving is better than receiving.
Other than that, I have a pretty basic set of goals like owning a house, providing for my family and travelling around the once all is said and done. I also like to research the latest technologies around the block to see whether it would help me or my clients.
